Job Location and Employment Type
This Structural Fabricator job is based in New Plymouth Central, Taranaki. The role is offered as a full-time, permanent position. Additionally, both workshop-based and on-site work may be required depending on project demands.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding structural steel components according to engineering drawings and specifications. In addition, a high level of accuracy and attention to detail will be required to meet quality standards.
Furthermore, responsibilities will include reading and interpreting 2D fabrication drawings, shop drawings, and general arrangement plans. Steel components such as beams, columns, frames, and platforms will be cut, prepared, fitted, and welded accordingly.
Moreover, welding processes such as MIG, FCAW, and stick welding will be performed to meet required industry standards. Structural components will also be assembled and fitted prior to welding.
